Tancream supports many amazing charities by fundraising, attending events and raising awareness – York Against Cancer, Look Good Feel Better, MelanomaMe, St Leonards Hospice, Melanoma UK, ReStart Africa to name a few.
Gillian found some of these services vital during her skin cancer journey. We are committed to continuing our support of these charities and every bottle of Tancream sold helps us to do just that!
Melanoma UK do amazing work supporting those patients and families going through treatment. Their campaign to get commercial sun beds banned in the UK as they are in Australia is something we are very passionate about supporting.
MelanomaMe is a charity close to our hearts as they give vital training to the beauty industry and schools to provide education about skin cancer and how to spot the early signs but also how to prevent it and we partnered with them early on in our business to help spread the word about the important work they do.
York Against Cancer fund dermatoscopes into GP surgeries for faster diagnosis of skin cancer, and early detection is key to getting successful treatment so we are very pleased to support this initiative. They also have a ground-breaking mobile chemotherapy unit providing much needed treatment closer to home for those remote areas avoiding the need for long journeys.
We’re also incredibly proud to support Restart Africa. A little further from home, but close to our hearts, this fantastic charity is dedicated to rescuing Kenya’s street children. Their work changes lives, and gives children the opportunities they desperately need to build themselves a better future.
Tancream also support the wonderful work conducted by St Leonard’s Hospice to give people the very best care for their life-limiting illnesses. Their bespoke palliative care and bereavement services are priceless to both the patient and their family, and it’s all delivered to them for free.
Look Good Feel Better provide a brilliant much needed service to those going through treatment by helping them to look their best despite everything and give them confidence and a boost to feel better. During the pandemic, they make their vital beauty workshops for those receiving treatment for cancer online. Gillian and Katy were very pleased to provide online training on these beauty workshops for all things suncare & sunscreen advice.
